GW2: The sense of a group of Guild Wars 2?

Groups have always been an important part in various MMOs. Guild Wars 2 is now the first game of its kind that seems to break with it. That this is not necessarily bad for the player must be, I would like to discuss in more detail in this article. A small hook is too ...

If one group without also happy?

I have so far played really a lot of MMOs and the groups were usually the focal point in the games. There were even games in which no groups was not even the quests available! But in buy Guild Wars 2 gold is all a bit different. To illustrate the whole thing better, I would like to take this opportunity to tell a little story.

I currently play with a good friend and we have GW2 also great fun. Just yesterday, we have to cope with multiple events and even participated in a major zone event. Also because we had a lot of fun and were very happy after a long struggle with what we had achieved.

But then something happened, what was wrong me pretty thoughtful. We briefly lost sight of, and I asked for in voice chat, wherever it currently is. In response I received a "Look on your map to where I am right." The problem: she was not on my card! Although we have over an hour what experienced together, but were not in a group.

Groups not essential
And that's what got me but voted something thoughtful. In other MMOs, you would have noticed at least the first quest that you're not in the same group. The reason is that the EP is not otherwise shared the loot and usually falls flat.

In GW2 that's all a bit different. You get yet EP, even if not in the group, and you get something from the loot when the opponent drops that event. Personally, I must say that I liked pretty well, but it promotes the support readiness of the players. In other MMOs, some people would not lift a finger when a group of players or even against an opponent to fight and they would thus gotten anything.

The crux of the matter
Therefore, I find the solution here at ArenaNet as very satisfactory. But the whole thing in my eyes one problem: Even if you're in the same group as the gw2 gold player attacks an enemy, but you will cause no harm to the enemy, you get nothing!

And that is the point that bothers me a bit at the moment. Currently I see no benefits, except the card position when I'm with someone in the group. If you want to take it very well, they even lose out when you play in a group: Now, if several people attacking different targets (which certainly happens), it is really only at Rumhetzen to cause damage on all targets.

You get me wrong, I really want that type of division as it exists currently in GW2 remains. I think it's great. But I also think that you could meet the little groups.

What do you say? Are you satisfied with the group settings? Or you can also find that the groups would still deserves some love?
