Guild Wars 2,Last 1 Day - Free Transfers to Medium Populations Worlds
Hiya guys, have you transferred to the worlds you were thinking about going to? Of course the worlds where your friends are playing should be Medium Populations. It’s obviously that ArenaNet wouldn't made the worlds more crowded, which should be easily found out from the Notice in GW2 gold game when you are standing still there, isn’t it?
26th March, there was an update about this, I think most of you have read about it. However, you should be aware of the expired time, April 1, and also, you could only transfer to another world per week even Guild Wars 2 gold players could pay those gems. Just be wise!
Here are some Medium Populations World that you could transfer to freely:
US Servers:
Eredon Terrace
Ferguson’s Crossing
Gate of Madness
Henge of Denravi
Northern Shiverpeaks
Sorrow’s Furnacec
EU Servers:

GW2 Dev blogpost to detail modifications to the Guild Mission system in March patch
In the new dev blogpost titled Guild Missions: A Good Foundation, Anthony Ordon detailed some of the upcoming changes to the Guild Mission method in the March 26 patch.
Last month we rolled out our new guild missions, open-world content particularly produced with guilds in mind. That was just the beginning. We developed guild missions as a platform feature. It wasn't enough to simply add quite a few content for guilds to play gw2 gold after which call it done, we wanted to construct the groundwork for future teams so they may prolong and enhance guild missions with relative ease.
Even though the guild content team is much smaller now, all of our preceding members are now a part of those future teams, where they will be... you know, influencing the outcomes of those assignments. So while the guild content team is exceptionally happy to bring you this month's update, we are most definitely thrilled that even if we stopped working on guild missions today, this would be just the very first morsel of a lot of delicious guild updates to come.
New Mission Type: Bounty Hunt Training
1 of the most exciting fundamentals of the guild mission feature is our ability to add 100% new sorts of missions. And while the sky's the limit on what these new varieties could be, this month we set our sights on something much closer to the ground level: the Bounty Hunt training mission.
This mission is created to provide minimal and casual guilds with an avenue for accessing & unlocking guild content. The objective is uncomplicated: defeat one bounty target inside fifteen minutes. Make no mistake, this is nonetheless rather much a group activity, as tracking and defeating even a single bounty is no trivial job. Those Guild Wars 2 gold players who belong to a 1-person guild might still are compelled to join forces with quite a few other players for at least a confined run.
An important detail to note is that the Bounty Hunt coaching mission is automatically accessible to be built once the guild has researched Art of War Level 3. It expenses 300 Guild Influence and 72 hours of investigation time. Rather than Guild Merits, 3000 Guild Influence will be rewarded. This ought to be perfect for the smaller or less active guild that can't earn at least 1000 Influence a day.
3 New Guild Bounty Targets
The Tyrian authorities are content to report that guilds are hunting down hundreds of bounties every day. Yet the nefarious criminals of Tyria haven't been deterred, and now they're hitting back challenging. This month we are bringing you three new bounty hunt targets that are more insidious, more deadly, and more elusive than ever before. Take a check out this bit of intel, if only so you are not caught entirely off guard once you need to adapt your method:
two-MULT - This defective prototype weather golem has been storming around Timberline Falls. Target demands to be brought in for a software patch.
Huge Mayana - This voracious hylek is wanted for questioning about a recent poisoning. Target is thought to have taken refuge in the canopy of Sparkfly Fen.
Yanonka the Rat-Wrangler - This rogue ogre is wanted for spying on & sabotaging various factions vying for control of the Fields of Ruin. Target is notorious for making use of pet rats to do her dirtiest work.
New Rewards
Extending guild missions is not limited to just content. We aim to boost rewards as well. To that end, a completely new set of weapons has been commissioned & made accessible at the Guild Commendation vendor.
Aside from new content and minor bug fixes, we are also making as a good deal of incremental improvements to the usability of Guild Missions in general. I.e., mission activation, success, and failure are now displayed within your guild's history. We've also updated the descriptions of loads of bounty hunt targets for accuracy. Stay tuned for more to come in this department.
We'll see you in-game!

What one modify would you make to GW2?
Okay, bear with me on the truth that this has likely appeared before on Guru as a topic of discussion. I did do a few light browsing with the honorable intention of bumping a similar subject!
The horrible truth is I was compelled by primal desires to create an account here as I am psychologically starved of my already incubated addiction to GW2 (Damnable BWE's!), and I thought I would make an exercise of getting familiar with this board by generating a subject while also slightly alleviating my GW2 withdrawal jitters. Holy run on sentence, Batman!
The one factor I would change: This really is difficult as I would like to make PvP gear as accessible as PvE gear is (no random chest content grind), as I see that as an essential concern, Still more than that I would LOVE it if we could follow a more evily aligned story-line for our characters that still somehow tied us into slaying dragons (as it must), on the other hand would permit for a fun, more dynamic approach. Effectively I would thoroughly enjoy if we Could join the "evil" outcast factions of each race.
So far I wish that we had access to more abilities, in distinct the utility skills. You have 5 weapon skill slots, & five utility skill slots, although 2 of those are as a rule going to be used up by a heal skill and your elite; leaving you with only 3 slots to work with. This really is a situation to me due to the fact there are a fairly considerable volume of utility skills, and in pvp you will more than likely must take at least one stun breaker, lowering your choices down to 2. Take Necromancer i.e., factors like Corrupt Boon and Epidemic are so excellent, and such a potent niche for the class given how much hinges on boons and conditions in this Guild Wars 2 gold game, that they seem pretty much like a given. Throw in Spectral Armor, & all of your choices are already made for you. Granted, this is just speculation and theorycraft as I've never played a Necro. Three skill slots just seems to be too couple of, it need to be five, on top of 1 slot for a heal and one elite skill slot.

The best way to get Guild Wars 2 to use files on DVD for initial installation
After one or two months/weeks of indecision (& playing Star Wars: The Old Republic), I purchased Guild Wars 2 today. Physical box copy. Excitedly I popped the first DVD in the drive, ran the setup, and was rather taken aback by the game installer 100% ignoring the +-14GB worth of info on the DVDs, & basically starting to download the full game client. All 233000 files of it. Yuck. I attempted quite a few items however eventually managed to get the GW2 gold game to agree to use the files from the DVDs as at least a starting point, and then patching the +-6 months worth of patches, bringing the download count down to only about 80000 files. Here's how:
Start up the DVD installer and let it download the first bit, restart itself, & allow you to pick where to install the game to. You've likely gotten this far already.
Exit the installer.
Use explorer to browse to the 1st DVD and copy the Gw2.js0 & Gw2.js1 into a temporary folder.
Do the same for Gw2.js2 & Gw2.js3 on the second DVD.
I did the following on an Ubuntu server to incorporate these 4 files into a single file:
cat Gw2.js* > Gw2.dat
If you are a Linux user, you'll know how/what to do to get the files to your server in the very first place, I won't go into that here.
The equivalent steps in Windows would be:
Use Explorer to navigate to the folder where you copied the files to.
Keep the Shift key on your keyboard in & right-click anywhere on the white part of this window
On the resulting popup menu, decide upon "Open command window here"
Type the following command & press ENTER.
copy /b Gw2.js* Gw2.dat
I attempted the above COPY command on my Windows machine, although it took forever, consequently doing it on the Ubuntu server. I cannot confirm 100% that this "cp /b" command works for this purpose, however I'm fairly confident it should. Can anybody confirm?
The point is, what I'm doing above is combining the 4 DVD install files into a single Gw2.dat file, & "seeding" the installation process with those files. Like the installer ought to have done in the first place.
Now, you need to copy the resulting Gw2.dat file into your C:Program FilesGuild Wars 2 folder - you could just open a 2nd Explorer window, & drag & drop the file into the Guild Wars 2 folder. Windows will in all probability complain about administrator rights, agree to let the file copy, and overwrite the silly temporary file that was there.
That is it. Once you run Guild Wars 2 now, the game will realize that it already has a big percentage of the game files already, & only download the differences. Which from what I can tell, at time of writing this, is about 7GB worth of data. That is a little better than the full 16GB of data. Please feel zero cost to let me know if this worked for you? PS. I suspect the Guild Wars 2 gold game installation might "work appropriately" if you are not connected to the net once you start the installer up, as it will not know that there's a newer version out there, so will just use the DVDs in the first place. I may be inaccurate though, I didn't try this.

New additions to GW2 will make the game more complicate?
Has Guild Wars 2 become too complicated? That is a question while Forbes gives us an answer to it. Because they have had an interview with Isaiah Cartwright, GW2's lead designer, which talked about the dungeons and currencies, and most recently, the addition of the guild system.
ArenaNet has been adding a lot of reward systems to give Guild Wars 2 gold players more goals and achievements to accomplish. Such as the daily system, currencies and new dungeon type called the Fractals of the Mist were added into GW2.
When asked why they've added so many additions to the GW2 gold game, Cartwright explained that: "We didn't want to get into a gear-grind scenario, so what we did be adding a new tier rarity called 'Ascended items.’ We wanted to add a step in there to insure that people had a lot to do."
Cartwright also addressed how the team is catering to guild content, saying that ArenaNet wants to improve smaller guilds more able to compete on the influence gathering area.
Maybe most of our players may concerning about the question that will GW2 become too complicated because of added so many additions, Cartwright said that: "I want us to slow down on the number of systems that we're adding and polish up and clean up the ones that we have added so they're easier to understand, with better UI for them, those types of things, that'll be some of the stuff that we're focused on in the future."

Dynamic events - what am I doing incorrect?
Hey guys, I'd like to ask veteran GW2 gold players about dynamic events. Basically, I just purchased the game and jumped right in with my guardian. I was looking forward for those dynamic events that appear as you run around, they advertise it like "you just run around & quests pop up around you".
My char is lvl 12 now & up to this point I only met about 3 or 4 boss mobs (no genuine events, just kill the guy) & two caravans to defend. The rest of the time I am just running towards the empty heart on the map & when I get near I kill like 20 mobs, get the heart completed and move on.
So far this will not appear at all like what is advertised or what folks say about it (in critiques & stuff). Does it get better as you progress? Or need to I do something distinctive to get those events? Thanks
I would also say that you will need to remain till the end of the event.
oftentimes things take place after the event "appears" over.
My most notable example was that I entered a cave where several troll had been kicked out by many enemy (cannot bear in mind what they were).
There were two other players there other than myself. we cleared the cave out plus the Guild Wars 2 gold players took off. All of the while the troll was giving dialogue and walking toward the back of the cave. once he reached it he "did something" and a rock panel moved aside & there was a chest there with a reward.
Having stated this, I must admit that the flow of the game doesn't appear to be for me as I do not appear to get enough events & I'm not honestly thinking of repeating hearts ad nauseum. I more often than not find myself way into an vicinity that is too high for me and I are inclined to get killed. Not a poor thing but after a while I type of just figure "I'm lost" and log out.
Also once you figure out the system like mentioned above stick around the NPC & follow him since plenty of the time events chain...if the npc becomes a vender then its safe to assume that event is over for now...also events trigger in countless methods.. Few are honestly timed..many start by you or somebody interacting with a npc or start from a last event finishing..stuff will rather much take place around you in the event you just go off & explore.. Gotta remember the DE strategy does not hold your hand as much as traditional mmo questing..

Paid Tournaments for Guild Wars 2 Coming to an End
A new post has been posted on Guild Wars two site to announce that paid PvP tournaments will be replaced with gratis ones coming with the February 26th patch. Free Tournaments will be available in 1-round and 3-round formats for GW2 gold players, with the winning team in a 1-round tournament receiving a reward chest. Any unused Tournament Tickets can be redeemed for special reward boxes from a Ticket Merchant NPC.
1 of the factors we at first introduced Paid Tournaments was to create a place for hyper-competitive, specifically proficient players to find matches with other Guild Wars 2 gold players of comparable skill, leaving the Zero cost Tournament method available for more casual competitive play. However, now that we have a ratings and matchmaking approach in-place that matches players of similar skill levels, we have decided that the ticket cost barrier-to-entry of Paid Tournaments is no longer necessary.

Guild Wars 2 does away with paid PVP
The system that once had Guild Wars 2 players pay to enter PvP tournaments has been removed in today's patch to usher in a more conventional matchmaking method.
The 2nd update to the Fire and Frost line of game patches brings a new PvP map, new guild missions plus the continuation of the game's lore. GW2 gold players no longer want to pay to enter PvP tournaments leaving a single or 3-round matchmaking service obtainable to all. Tickets previously accumulated to permit access to the older paid tournaments can now be traded-in for reward chests at the usual ticket vendors.
"1 of the factors we at the beginning introduced Paid Tournaments was to create a place for hyper-competitive, exceptionally adept players to find matches with other players of comparable skill, leaving the Gratis Tournament program accessible for more casual competitive play," - Tyler Bearce - ArenaNet.
The choice will hopefully encourage more PvP play throughout the community as newer Guild Wars 2 gold players can now practice without forking out money.
